What is Voicy?
Voicy is a service that turns audio and video into text. It works on voicy.bot and in the Telegram bot @voicy. Upload a recording up to 8 hours long or paste a link to a video — Voicy returns the text, and with Voicy Pro also the gist, detailed notes, a translation and answers to questions about the recording.
Is Voicy the same as @voicybot?
No, these are different bots. Voicy is the bot @voicy and the site voicy.bot, while @voicybot is another bot with a similar name.
How much can I try for free?
3 transcriptions a day. For a long recording, the first 3 minutes are transcribed for free. Full recordings up to 8 hours and every other feature come with Voicy Pro.
What can I transcribe?
Audio and video up to 8 hours and 2 GB: voice messages, calls, lectures, interviews, podcasts and videos. On the site you can also record your voice right from the microphone. With Voicy Pro, links to YouTube, TikTok, VK, Rutube and other social networks work too.
What do I get?
The text of the recording. On the site every phrase has its time: click it and the recording plays from that moment. Voicy Pro adds the gist, detailed notes by section, an AI chat about the recording and translation into 20 languages.
Can I ask questions about a recording?
Yes, with Voicy Pro. Ask in the recording's chat — for example, what was agreed or which numbers came up — and the AI answers from its text.
Which formats can I save the text in?
With Voicy Pro — Word, PDF, TXT and SRT subtitles.
What technology does Voicy use?
Speech recognition and the AI features run on technology from OpenAI, Claude and NVIDIA.
The site and the Telegram bot
Do I need to install an app?
No. The site opens in a browser on a phone or a computer, and the bot @voicy works right inside Telegram.
How do I turn a Telegram voice message into text?
Forward the voice message to @voicy — it replies with the text. You don't need Telegram Premium for this.
How is the site different from the bot?
The site keeps all your recordings in one list, with search through their text, a player with the time of every phrase and a chat about each recording. The bot is handy for voice messages right in Telegram, and it also makes video circles from videos and sends voice memes to any chat for free.
How do I log in to the site?
With Telegram, by email or with Yandex ID. If you log in with Telegram, the site has the same account and the same subscription as the bot.
Voicy Pro and your data
What does Voicy Pro give me?
Full recordings up to 8 hours, transcription from links, the gist and detailed notes, an AI chat about the recording, translation into 20 languages, export to files, a «Share» link and the recording's audio as a file. The subscription works both on the site and in the bot. Plans are on the site after you log in and in the bot via the /pro command.
How does Voicy keep my recordings?
The uploaded file is deleted right after processing, and the audio and video for the player after 14 days. The text and the results are kept for 30 days or until you delete them. Only the owner sees a recording, unless they share its link. More in the Privacy Policy.
